Matthew Forsythe

Matthew Forsythe, an illustrator and author based in Montreal. With a passion for creating books and designing for animation, Matthew's latest release, "Mina," is already making waves. Matthew's talent and creativity have earned him numerous accolades, including his first authored picture book, "Pokko and the Drum," which was recognized as a Publishers Weekly and NPR Book of the Year. It also received the prestigious Boston Globe / Horn Book Honor and Charlotte Zolotow Honor. 


Having lived and worked in various cities such as Dublin, London, Seoul, and Los Angeles, Matthew's diverse experiences and influences are evident in his work. His first comic, "Ojingogo," was nominated for two Eisner awards and won a Doug Wright Award for Best Experimental Comic. 


In addition to his success in print, Matthew has also made his mark in the animation industry. He served as the Lead Designer on the popular animated series "Adventure Time" at Cartoon Network and was the Designer of "Robin Robin," a stop-motion animated film featuring acclaimed actors Gillian Anderson and Richard E. Grant. 


With a unique artistic style and a passion for storytelling, Matthew Forsythe continues to captivate audiences with his imaginative creations in both the literary and animation worlds.
